All consults are 10-minutes in length. In your first consult your therapist takes a brief history about your complaint or reason for seeking care, performs quick screening procedures to confirm the impression generated from the history you provide, educates you about the nature of the issue you’re presenting with, communicates the plan for your care and educates you in the targeted exercises and stretches you’ll begin with.
It is often the case that your Express physical therapist hits the nail on the head with a single consult such that only one consult is necessary. However, two to three follow-up consults are generally recommended to ensure we can be thorough and that you receive the best outcome possible. Follow-up consults give the ability to verify you’re tolerating your exercises well and are doing them correctly, re-examine your situation if you’ve had a limited response to the education already provided, and to add exercises that build upon what’s previously been recommended.
