AR-Encap goes beyond simple glucosamine supplementation.

Sore knees‚ hips‚ elbows‚ and other joints can interfere with your daily life‚ and although joint discomfort is often associated with mature individuals‚ people of all ages are susceptible. AR-Encap‚ a complex of natural botanical ingredients that contain anti-inflammatory‚ pain-relieving‚ and tissue-restoring properties to help enhance flexibility and mobility in your joints.*

AR-Encap combines the preeminent joint support ingredient, glucosamine, with other nutrients and botanicals that also support joint health.* Glucosamine demonstrates significant joint support, as evidenced by numerous clinical studies.* Methyl sulfonyl methane (MSM) also helps support joint integrity and mobility.* Bromelain promotes healing after trauma.*

Thorne's Meriva® ingredient – curcumin bound to phospholipids – and boswellia both exert an antioxidant effect and help maintain a healthy cytokine balance (for a normal inflammatory response) in the joints and muscles.* AR-Encap combine all of these ingredients in a single comprehensive joint support supplement.*

AR-Encap® is a comprehensive joint support formula that goes beyond simple glucosamine supplementation.* This formula supplies 1,500 mg of glucosamine sulfate (suggested use – four capsules twice daily), the amount used in the majority of studies – in combination with other joint-supporting nutrients and botanicals.*

Clinical Studies

Glucosamine provides significant joint support, as evidenced by numerous clinical studies.* Methyl sulfonyl methane (MSM) – also known as dimethyl sulfone and methyl sulfone – is an organic, sulfur-containing compound that occurs naturally in a variety of plants and provides additional joint support.*

In a study of healthy adult subjects with mild knee soreness, bromelain supplementation resulted in significant improvement with both 200-mg and 400-mg daily use.1* Joint mobility was also improved.*

Curcumin, the principal polyphenol in the Asian spice turmeric, exerts an antioxidant effect.* Curcumin phytosome (Meriva®), a compound that contains curcumin and phosphatidylcholine, has significantly better absorption than ordinary curcumin and helps maintain a healthy cytokine balance throughout the body.*

Boswellia appears to inhibit the activity of the lipoxygenase enzymes, thus promoting a healthy cytokine balance throughout the body.* A study of curcumin and boswellia found significant support of normal joint mobility in the group taking the botanical formula.2*

Curcumin has been shown to reduce the therapeutic efficacy of cyclophosphamide (Cytoxan) in animal studies. In vitro research revealed that curcumin decreased camptothecin-induced death of cultured breast cancer cells. Curcumin might also interfere with the absorption and efficacy of the chemotherapy drug irinotecan, used to treat colon cancer. The concurrent use of curcumin with these agents should be avoided.
